I’m a 35 year old Christian wife and mother of 3, living in Tyler, TX. I’ve recently awakened to the mess our country is in, and I want to make sure that the people we put in office are going to do the will of the people, not just line their pockets. I believe that politics in our country is VERY important. As said by Ronald Reagan, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” I want to make sure that my children continue to live in a free country. I hope one day they will see how utterly important it is to pay attention to what your government is doing and know that the government doesn’t always do what is best. It is up to us to police the government and make sure they stay within the bounds created for them in our Constitution. I started this blog in hopes that by bringing issues to people it will make them more aware of how close we are to losing the liberties granted to us by God and guaranteed us by the Constitution. If I can shed some light on these issues for even 1 person and wake them up, then I feel I have done something worthwhile. This is a scary world we live in and our country needs real change if we are to remain free. I don’t believe this comes from one party or the other specifically, but from someone that is wanting to stick firmly to the constitution, make the deep cuts in our budget that need to be made (even if it’s difficult), and that will reassess our current foreign policy of constant war and nation building. In local or state officials, we need someone that wants to protect the rights, property, and economy for the people. Whoever we put in office needs to adhere to the constitution. That is the blueprint for our government and it works!
